Presidency reacts as IPOB declares Buhari missing in Japan

Image
The Presidency on Monday said the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has “nothing to do with President Muhammadu Buhari since he arrived Yokohama, Japan, on Monday.” Buhari had departed Nigeria yesterday for Japan to participate in the Seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD7) holding in the City of Yokohama, August 28-30, 2019. DAILY POST on Monday reported the arrival of Buhari in Japan. However, IPOB alleged that the President was not in Japan, stressing that photographs of Buhari were photoshopped. Responding to the allegation, Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, urged Nigerians to disregard the claims by IPOB. In a statement forwarded to DAILY POST, Adesina said: “Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora are urged to disregard concocted stories, backed with spurious visuals, of any protest or harassment of the President and his team. It is the stock-in-trade of hate mongers, who do not realize that the re

Presidential tribunal: Buhari wins in court The Presidential Election on Thursday dismissed the petition filed by the Hope Democratic Party (HDP) challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari in the February 23 election. NAN reports that the HDP prayed the tribunal to set aside the presidential election of Feb. 23 on the grounds that INEC did not follow conditions in the Electoral Act before postponing the poll earlier scheduled for February 16. Adopting the HDP’s final address, its lead counsel Mr Chukwunoyerem Njoku, informed the Tribunal that because INEC did not follow the conditions before postponing the election unconstitutionally, a referendum was conducted in line with the law and the presidential candidate of the HDP, Mr. Ambrose Oworu, emerged winner of the referendum with over 50 million votes. He submitted that Nigerian citizens participated in Feb. 16 referendum as required by law and urged the tribunal to nullify the declaration of Presid

Speaking with the Daily Sun on Saturday the tournament Golden boot winner noted that their action was regrettable but they had to do it because of past promises that were not kept by the nation’s football authorities. The Florence Omagbemi’s women embarked on a sit-in protest in order to recover their allowances and match bonuses from the Nigeria Football Federation immediately after they returned from winning another AWCON title in Cameroon. The team later stormed the National Assembly when they realised the sit-in protest was not effective enough. According to Oshoala, “We were maltreated. It was a bitter experience. I mean what can one say but to give thanks to God. Nigeria is a country full of undergro

HISTORY OF COMPUTER

History Of Computing A computer might be described with deceptive simplicity as “an apparatus that performs routine calculations automatically.” Such a definition would owe its deceptiveness to a naive and narrow view of calculation as a strictly mathematical process. In fact, calculation underlies many activities that are not normally thought of as mathematical. Walking across a room, for instance, requires many complex, albeit subconscious, calculations. Computers, too, have proved capable of solving a vast array of problems, from balancing a checkbook to even—in the form of guidance systems for robots —walking across a room.
